Some adjustments need to be made in the Mozilla Firefox configuration before Firefox can open the Windows Explorer. To do this, open about:config via the address bar and create the following keys (via right-click → New):
Type | Name of the key | Value |
---|---|---|
string | capability.policy.localfilelinks.checkloaduri.enabled | allAccess |
string | capability.policy.localfilelinks.sites | https://plunet.psgtranslations.com |
string | capability.policy.policynames | localfilelinks |
boolean | network.protocol-handler.expose.file | false |
boolean | browser.tabs.remote.autostart | false |
NOTE: If the value browser.tabs.remote.autostart.2 exists, it should also be set to false.
NOTE: If Firefox asks which application to use to open file links, specify: %windir%\explorer.exe
